Our Elders

Elder Directors

The governance of CCoF, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is vested in the body of Elder-Directors who serve as the corporation’s Board of Directors and who shall hold the spiritual leadership of the church. They are also responsible for the management of the business and affairs of the corporation.

Qualifications, Duties, and Expectations

1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-3; Acts 20:28-30

 

  • Expresses a willingness to serve
  • Known for christian character
  • Devoted to marriage and family
  • Committed to Christian parenting'Exhibits maturity in the Christian lifestyle
  • Student of God's Word
  • Instructor of sounds Christian truths
  • Possesses a good reputation within the community
  • Models servant leadership
  • Dedicated to the care ad spiritual health of God's people
  • Cannot be related to any paid staff person filling a permanent position at CCoF
  • Monitor the Health of the Senior Pastor and his family
  • Oversee and make decisions involving Church Doctrine
  • Oversee and make business and strategic decisions of the church as well as any of it's subsidiaries; or entities.
  • Attend weekend services regularly
  • Actively engage in the ministry life of the church. Current examples include but aren't limited to: Rooted, groups, serving, mission trips, Love928, etc.
  • Actively engaged in healthy relationships and Christian community
  • Attend meetings, as assigned
  • Pray for others, as requested
  • Participate in Church Ordinations
  • Participate in the financial needs at the tithe level
  • Engage in ongoing team-building opportunities
  • Be an encouragement to church leadership at all levels
  • Strive toward unity and consensus
  • Terms of service are 3 years. Once 2 terms have been completed a mandatory 1 year sabbatical will ensure.
